Mark Benedict Victor Malazarte was born in Manila, Philippines but in 1990 traded in the smog and rice fields for the purple mountains majesties of America. Since then he has lived in a city founded by Steamboat Willie, Orlando, and currently resides in the lightning capital of the world, Tampa, Florida.

I am a 24-year-old designer skilled in print and web as well as video. I am capable of illustration, coloring, lettering, and layout design, which I currently do for Calavera Comics, a comic and illustration company I co-founded in 2005. Besides print, I am also experienced in web design, motion graphics, photography, film, and video editing. I enjoy books, lots of music, Bruce Lee, the revolution, the color red, French philosophy, female rappers, 90's basketball, Archie comics, bootleg items, girls with glasses, Sweden, Japan, Mexico, England, Manila, NYC, hip-hop, and consider myself a huge film nerd.

I am a very creative, intuitive person that works well under pressure and consider myself a fast learner. I envision myself growing exponentially as a designer and an artist as well as continuing to develop my knowledge in film. Furthermore, I would love to be a part of a project that would benefit humanity and help change the world in a positive way.
